I live in Bristol England, am separated, and have three charming and grown up daughters Victoria, Rebecca and Lucy, and a wonderful grandson Harry
I am a firm believer in the need to read and expand the mind and am passionate about the books I encounter. Using the internet has allowed me the opportunity to reach out and communicate with fellow book enthusiasts throughout the world. This shared experience from the convenience of my home has created the opporunity to debate and discuss my favourite authors and by doing so I have acquired many new and wonderful friends. The world of books has become a colourful treasure trove of learning and knowledge from which it is possible to seek any obscure publication to add to my collection!
I am an active member of a number of social networking sites and enjoy lively discussions on goodreads, librarything, facebook, twitter, and my personal blog at booklikes. You can become a part of these conversations by following the links below. My favourite reading tool is the kindle keyboard now in its 6th year and still performing great. The ability to download a digital copy withing seconds by the use of "whispernet" is amazing, I still however retain a fondness for both paperback and hardback editions.
I am a keen runner and believe the ability to run free is good for the mind and spirit. I participate in numerous road races throughout the year my favourite distance being 10k and half marathon. One particular race I look forward to is the Chippenham Half Marathon voted 8th in the Runners World 50 best UK races of 2015, the next running of this great event is Sept 2018 and I shall be part of it!
I am a member of Bitton Road Runners, a running club based on the east side of Bristol and it is always a pleasure to participate in their club colours on race day.
